WE ARE FAMILY
Cars. All around us. A part of life. To many they just take one from A to B, but for some they represent the result of dedication to design and fine art.
Passion exists everywhere around us. Few are persistent as those who have their hearts in the vibrant world of car culture. It’s an environment as vibrant and colourful as any. The world over, share a fascination with cars and their eventful history reaching back to its invention in 1879.
This is the motivation behind the production of a feature-length documentary, which highlights the hardships and beauty of this surprising and at times secret world. “The Relentless” will show car culture as a never-ending lifestyle. You will meet children aspiring to be the next racing star and drivers who already realised their wildest dreams. This is but a taste of the engrossing stories we had the joy to fi lm for you, the viewer.
Each story teaches a lesson on perseverance, persistence, and the intensity of passion. Each of these stories involve managers, designers, engineers, and so many more who work hard behind-the-scenes, so that in the end a product, someone’s dream, becomes tangible. Progress and setbacks are part of the journey one embarks on when a dream drives one’s aspirations.
We are a team of car fans who appreciate the hard work needed to satisfy the wants of so many. Until a car can awe you in the bright lights in one of the many shows across the continents, much happens that the public doesn’t know about.
We feel it’s a part of the creative process, which should be shared. If not for the sake of knowledge, but also as a testament to the dedication of every soul keeping car culture alive.
No role is too small. No task too boring to show. Each person has a specifi c function essential to the whole process. We hope to capture that story in its entirety. From the very first sketch to the fi nal polish, “The Relentless” is a chance for everybody to tell their story. To show their daily routine, as they progress towards their goal.
All goals consist of many different elements. None of it can work if just one of those elements goes missing. At a race, the pit crew is equally crucial to a victory. The talent of the drivers towers over everything, yet it’s reliant on the talent of so many who don’t stand in the limelight.
Events, meetups, communities, track days, and car simulation. These are just a few of the many facets of this vast passion. Racers swoosh through nocturnal scenery, sending sound waves across a never sleeping cityscape. Meetups, where dozens of the same models stand in a straight line, differentiated by their unique histories. This section addresses everything from real-life enthusiasts to pro-gamers living the dream in virtual worlds.
A CINEMATIC STRUCTURE
This story section will emphasize engineering, the design and creative process, and race car production. There is more to tell, and we would like to include as many unique stories as possible. A straight line doesn’t always you closer to your goals. Dedicating enough time to a specific interest, helps one to discover unexpected career paths. To nurture one’s passion until fruition is an inspiring journey, not unlike the one we as a team embarked on.
Car culture and the accompanying lifestyle is the source of great creative energy. The convergence of these result in timeless cars that we like to see as art pieces. This energy comes from people who are as engulfed in their respective fields as we would expect from a Mozart or Shakespeare.
A diverse dynamic is what makes car culture unique and never boring. It reinvents itself constantly, because there will always be someone who rediscovers a new connection to something perhaps older than that same person.
Architecture. Functionality and aesthetics represent the foundation of every car.
Fashion. Textiles and texture give a car the feel and soul that make a part of you.
Music. Cars are the world’s largest concert houses, where you, the owner, are the centre. As sung by Tom Cochrane, “Life is a highway”. And we want to ride it all night long.
Art. A car body, or even just parts of one, can become the beginning of great art.
INSPIRING PEOPLE CONTRIBUTE IN UNEXPECTED WAYS.
Each of the presented storylines involve great devotion and teamwork. Every personal project shown is the result of collaboration and the relentless effort of a dedicated group of people. We want to allow them to shine light on the minutest detail. “The Relentless” shows a complete picture of the phenomenon that fuels this culture’s heart. However, the car itself as the object of desire isn’t in the forefront. This documentary is a personal matter for us behind the camera, as much as for the people in front of it. People driven by passion don’t just go to work or execute a routine task. They take it to heart and put all their efforts into it. These artists should stand on equal terms alongside their creations.
Sweat and grease are part of it as are eventually flashes and pretty models leaning against the shiny body. Beyond hardware and tools, there is always a collection of hardships, which resulted in the art pieces millions love to watch and own. To these people, cars aren’t merely a means of transportation. To them they are art, and art requires hard work. With this documentary we want to highlight exactly that.
INSPIRING A NEW GENERATION
Hardware doesn’t make the art. Our journey began with a basic DSLR, which wasn’t at all meant for a cinematic project of this calibre. Today we are better positioned with a RED 4K camera. However, the right tools are only useful if combined with knowledge and passion to learn new skills. Our documentary should inspire men and women to pursue careers in the multifaceted world of cars. Whether behind the camera, behind the wheel, or with tools in hand, anyone can find a way to express their passion. This passion for car culture is strong everywhere one goes; a never-ending cycle where people gather around and where friends become family. Through this project we have met a lot of people who shared their struggles and successes. Each story is unique and emotional.
To bring these amazing to life, with help of the possibilities your everyday computer gives, drives us forward. Technology certainly plays a key role in the making of this documentary. The advancement in tech has made it possible for normal people to execute challenging design tasks. We hope to showcase the story behind the advanced hardware in use, just as we focus in on the craftsmanship needed to operate an English wheel. Although the end product looks cinematic in every way, the hardware we use isn’t the most advanced. Making all these amazing stories come to live with quite unexpected visual power is an exhilarating undertaking.
MAKING PASSION TANGIBLE
The essence of great cinematography is understanding the message each frame should convey. At the heart of what you want to tell the viewer lies a basic emotion
— passion for your craft.
We want to take the time necessary to understand and to find the best way for showcasing the works at hand. A perspective from different angles gives the viewer a better understanding of the difference between hobbyists and professionals.
“The Relentless” will not stop at showing beauty in and around cars, but will bring the viewer close to the beauty of the talent and dedication required to build a car everyone can admire and gaze at in awe. The gritty atmosphere of a workshop.
Showcasing the passion in car culture requires a holistic view. Various different content creators and media companies will contribute to the making of this ground-breaking documentary. In search of inspiring stories to include, we reach out to communities the world over. One such story can be around the corner, or on another continent. They hide in unexpected places. With the help of passionate enthusiasts we find them, no matter how far. We plan to launch a crowd-funding project to help organise cinema screenings in selected cities. With adequate support we can add a unique score.
THIS DRIVES US, NOT SPECS.
Technology isn’t a necessity, but when story and professional hardware work hand in hand, the result is as captivating as is the passion of every person involved in making this documentary an experience both educational and entertaining.
CULTURE SHOULD BE FREE
The goal of this movie is to make it available to everyone with passion for cars and inspire those who don’t.

We’re working on finding sponsors to get the movie dubbed/subtitled in other languages.
After the cinematic release we will release the movie on YouTube and torrent site for free and in 1080p.
The power of internet brings us together, through it we can share our story and rally the enthusiast. You are welcome to join the movement.
